This week marks the 31st anniversary of us opening the doors to the newly formed CEDAR Audio. In those three and a bit decades, the company has evolved significantly, advancing from the restoration of 78 rpm records and decaying tapes into film and TV post, broadcast, location sound as well as audio forensics and surveillance. We've come a long way from the research software developed in the University of Cambridge and seen in this video. Nonetheless, the association between the University and CEDAR remains hugely important to us and it's synonymous with our brand to this day.
To see just how far we've come and how far our hair has receded we thought it would be entertaining to look back to 1989 in the form of this Channel 4 News interview. It showcases our groundbreaking technology for restoring old records, and reminds us of friends and colleagues from all those years ago.
Since then, we have come to know many of you in the pro-audio industries worldwide, and we would like to thank you all for your continued support. With your help, we'll be creating many more nostalgic moments like this in the future.
