CEDAR to discontinue the DNS2000 dialogue noise suppressor: 50% off while stocks last

1 June 2010

The DNS2000 was launched to great acclaim in March 2002 to partner the iconic DNS1000 dialogue noise suppressor. Comprising a dedicated CEDAR processing unit and remote control software running on Pro Tools, it was developed as a direct response to users' requests for a DNS that could be integrated fully within a Pro Tools session. It was a huge success, and over the ensuing eight years became one of CEDAR's most enduring and successful products.

Nonetheless, even good things come to an end, and the company has now decided to discontinue manufacture of the DNS2000, offering the remaining stock to its customers at half price from 1 June 2010 until stocks are cleared. Non-UK customers should contact their national dealer for further details. In the UK, customers can contact Clive Osborn at the address below to order direct from the company.

About the DNS2000

The DNS2000 is a fully automated implementation of our near zero-latency DNS technology designed specifically for Pro Tools® users. Connected to its Mac- or Windows XP- based Pro Tools host via USB, the DNS2000 provides the 24-bit I/O for the system and will handle two independent channels simultaneously. Housed in a 1U rack, it performs all the audio processing in real-time and frees the host computer's CPU for other tasks. With multiple frequency ranges that allow you to tune the processing to the type of noise, full-band processing when needed, and an intuitive user-interface, the DNS2000 is designed for the way sound engineers work, offering the best combination of audio quality, flexibility, speed and simplicity.
