German broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg broadcast the Deutscher Filmpreis (German Film Prize) 2014 awards ceremony using a CEDAR DNS 8 Live to reduce ambient noise and reverb in the main programme sound. This, they state, increased the presence and transparency of the transmission from the Berlin Tempodrom so that both clarity and intelligibility were improved.

After evaluating the DNS 8 Live at the ceremony, RBB purchased their first DNS 8 Live, and this is now being used for post-production on the new series on the Kurt Krömers Late-Night Show at the Berliner Ensemble.

About the Deutscher Filmpreis

A Deutscher Filmpreis is the highest award for a movie in Germany. From 1951 to 2004 the prizes were presented by a commission but, since 2005, they have been presented by the Deutsche Filmakademie. With a cash prize of three million Euros, a Deutscher Filmpreis is also the most highly endowed German cultural award, and perhaps the most important element of the German government's policy of supporting the film industry. The Federal Commissioner for Cultural and Media Affairs has been responsible for the administration of the prizes since 1999, and the awards ceremony is traditionally held in Berlin.

It offers eight independent channels of noise suppression using a new algorithm that makes it the most flexible DNS ever built.
