CEDAR DNS 2 TEC nomination 2017

22 September 2016

The CEDAR DNS 2 dialogue noise suppressor has been nominated for a 32nd Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in the category Signal Processing Hardware.

The latest in the prestigious line of DNS hardware products that has included the Academy Award® winning DNS1000, the DNS2000, the DNS1500, the DNS3000 and the DNS 8 Live, the DNS 2 is rapidly becoming a standard for location recording and live-to-air broadcasting.

"We're delighted that the DNS 2 has been nominated for a TEC Award", says CEDAR's Managing Director, Gordon Reid, "and I would like to thank the foundation and the nominating committee for again recognising our work. It's a groundbreaking product that is being adopted rapidly by sound recordists everywhere, so we have our fingers crossed that we will be able to replace the 'nominated' logo with a 'winner' logo in January!"

About the TEC Awards

The TEC Awards were established in 1985 and celebrate the pro-audio community by recognising the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind today's sound recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and other media. In addition to acknowledging the companies pushing the boundaries of sound, they also honour the creators behind these products, and celebrate the musical powerhouses who bring them to life.

The winners of the 32nd Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held on Saturday 21 January 2017 at the Anaheim Hilton Ballroom as a special highlight of the NAMM Show, one of the world's largest music products trade shows.
